He has over a decade of industry experience across machine learning research, natural language processing, and software engineering. Before joining Materiom, he was a Senior Research Scientist at Google in Mountain View, CA, where his research focused on multilingual language processing techniques and evaluation, and he was fortunate to be part of the team that delivered Google's PaLM-2 LLM. Jan is a Rhodes Scholar and holds a Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Oxford.
